If you have medium - thin pile carpet and hardfloors, then the Miele C3 Complete Excellence may just be the right vacuum for you. This vacuum is also suitable for users with pets and carpet.
West Van Vacuum's recommendations:

If you have thick carpet, then we recommend one of the following: adding on the SEB 228 or SEB 236 Premium powerhead OR taking a look at the Miele C3 Cat and Dog or C3 PowerPlus.

If you have hardwood, delicate or another form of higher end flooring, then we recommend adding on the SBB 300-3 Floor Brush for optimal performance.
 
NOTE: You do not need to purchase additional accessories at the same time of vacuum purchase, you can always add these on later in the future if you choose to.​
